Glasgow to host conference on passive house at scale

The institute said: “The passive house standard is increasingly being adopted on large-scale projects across the UK, but Scotland is lagging a little behind. Projects range from new-build social housing and large-scale private housing, through to non-domestic projects including schools, university buildings and offices; current work also cover large and small scale passive house retrofits, including blocks of social housing.”

“This event provides an overview of some of the most exciting projects across the UK and insights from leading passive house clients and practitioners into why they adopted passive house, how they were delivered, and what the project outcomes have been. The focus will be on the financial and logistical propositions for successfully delivering high quality passive house in the current market.

“The intent is to bring those with experience of successfully delivering passive house projects in the UK together with those interested in exploring the possibility of a passive house project. This event is being hosted as part of the 'Engage with Strathclyde' week.”

The conference takes place on 30 April from 13:30 in the Thomas Graham Building at the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow.
