Last year, almost 4,500 people attended the SEAI Energy Show and, according to exhibitors, over €90m worth of business was won at the show.

This year, visitors will see everything from large scale renewable energy solutions, to smart energy management systems and the latest lighting technology innovations. There will also be free test drives in the latest electric vehicles. Visitors will be able to download a custom app for the show to help facilitate business networking opportunities.

Attendees will also be able to link up with industry and professional associations, including Engineers Ireland, CIBSE, the National Insulation Association of Ireland, and the Association of Plumbers and Heating Contractors. Meanwhile, the demonstration area for building retrofit will showcase best practice in the installation of various types of insulation, and the installation of numerous renewable technologies.

There will be a number of CPD accredited sessions including on NZEB for domestic and non-domestic buildings, and on risk mitigation strategies for retrofits. There will also be a session on how to make a winning SEAI EXEED grant application, for those that want to learn more about the design approach to energy efficiency and tap into funding for new investments and major energy upgrades.

The SEAI Energy Theatre will also return to the SEAI Energy Show this year, offering free talks with industry experts on the latest policy and market developments. Sessions of particular interest to engineers include updates to insulation grants with new NZEB regulations, the latest behavioural economic insights into what drives people to retrofit their homes, and the most up-to-date information on energy and renewable energy trends in Ireland.

Commenting on the upcoming show, Jim Gannon, CEO of SEAI said: “The SEAI Energy Show is well established in the Irish calendar and it continues to be a key business event, bringing together buyers, suppliers and experts to showcase the latest energy innovations. It’s a unique one-stop-shop where those involved in the business of sustainable energy [to] learn about the technologies and services for domestic, commercial and industrial sectors that can help improve energy efficiency, and help us move towards a cleaner energy future.”

The SEAI Energy Show is a free business event and will run from 10am – 7pm on Wednesday 27 March and 9am to 4pm on Thursday 28 March 2019. For further details on all events, CPD accreditation, networking opportunities and to register, visit www.seai.ie/energyshow.
