The Green Party has published its ten point cycling plan for Dublin. Among the key points are:

Fast-tracking the introducing of a 20mph speed limit across the city centre

5,000 new bike parking spaces

Widening footpaths along the Liffey between Heuston and the Customs House, with access for pedestrians and cyclists

A car free Sunday along the quays once a month for cyclists, roller-bladers and pedestrians

A multi-storey bicycle park at Heuston station

Delivering the proposed Sutton to Sandycove cycling and pedestrian route around Dublin Bay.
