A new series of nationwide seminars designed to provide a comprehensive approach to sustainable building design and construction in accordance with the requirements of the nearly zero energy building (NZEB) standard kicks off in April.

The Energy Efficient Building Seminar (EEBS) series of events kicks off with a half-day seminar in Galway’s Menlo Park Hotel on 8 April, followed by a seminar in Cork on 30 April, with additional events in Dublin, Limerick, Kilkenny & Athlone planned for the Autumn and Winter.

The event has been organised by Partel in partnership with a number of other leading sustainable building product brands – KORE, Daikin, NorDan, Harmony Timber Solutions and Lunos – to proactively respond the recent changes to the building regulations. Passive House Plus is serving as media partner for the events.

Bringing together experts from across the building industry, the seminars will present a series of envelope and building performance solutions that will help the industry achieve NZEB standards for both new build and retrofit projects, by showcasing the best in design and construction solutions to meet and exceed the recent changes to Parts L & F.

The events are pitched at design and construction professionals ranging from architects and engineers, contractors and developers, and will offer valuable insights into the roles of insulation, airtightness, thermal breaks, windows, timber construction, renewable heating and mechanical ventilation can play to deliver NZEB in both residential and non-residential buildings.
Each seminar will provide the best principles, practices and illustrative case studies that show how a range of innovative products can be used to reduce the energy demand of buildings in a cost-effective manner.
Delegates will have the opportunity to avail of one-to-one technical expert advice, networking opportunities with fellow professionals.
Certificates of attendance available upon request.Lunch and refreshments will be provided.
