Ekaterina Tikhoniouk

I am a Communications and Project Coordinator at Codema, with a passion for sustainability, social media, communications, SEO and graphic design. I am also a freelance writer for Architecture Ireland online and Passive House Plus, and am passionate about research writing, particularly in the area of children's play and how it is affected by the built environment. My Masters dissertation was awarded Best Dissertation by the UCD School of Architecture and was Highly Commended (2nd place!) in the prestigious international President’s Medal award. I am also very passionate about mental health and activism, and have been involved with various causes and organisations throughout the past ten years. I was until recently involved with a creative mental health magazine, and volunteered with the youth organisations SpunOut and ReachOut. Originally from Belarus but having grown up in Ireland, I speak fluent Russian and English, as well as conversational Dutch and Polish, and beginners Spanish and German. I have also lived in the Netherlands and Poland.
