Hi folks.
I am looking for a structural insulated panel supplier that does roofs, I want to use cellulose and not polyurethane.
Does anyone have the name of a company?

I was under the impression that the defacto build type for SIPS was with polyurethane.
Are you talking about off site constructed roof panels such as www.smartroof.ie?
Incidently their website appears to be under construction and is a mess but it does perform slightly better under Firefox than IE.

Hi SAS.
Thanks for getting back to me. Yes it is a system like Smartroof that I am looking for. I have a quote from them but I am looking for a few more quotes before I make my mind up on a supplier.
Cheers

Grand. How do they work out price wise, presumably they are on the expensive side?

Hi, before putting on your roof, everyone should read "the slate roof bible" by jenkins. Not only is it a good read but it tells you exactly how a roof should work. One thing he says in it is stay away from laminated roofs! I am referring to OSB and plywood sheets. Jenkins' book is full of examples of 150+ year old slate roofs and 20 year old laminated roofs that had to be replaced.
think about it, the roof is subject to the biggest temperature variation. the heating, cooling and moisture levels causes huge stress on the roofing material. this seems to pull laminated roofs apart very quickly (in roofing terms).

Hi Tomoose.
Thanks for that, will definitely give it a read - reckon it should be easy enough found on Amazon.co.uk.
