Hello everyone,

Just to introduce myself. I am a student at GMIT Galway and am studing Construction Management. I have a strong interest in issues relating to the environment in general, especially energy conservation. I have being reading the Construct Ireland magazine for a few weeks now and hence felt the desire to join the forum.

Welcome to the forum, what aspects of building are you syudying at the moment?

This year (my final year) I am studying Contracts and Procedures ie estimating, costing, claims etc including associated legal implications.
Development Evaluation - Planning permission and legislations right through to the sale of a development.
Building Adaption - suitability of materials etc including Case Studies of local buildings.
Accounting is also on the sylabus.
